The Petroleum Technology Transfer Council is a national nonprofit organization established in 1994 by producers, state organizations and the DOE to connect people and impact domestic production. PTTC distributes applied technology information via newsletters, websites, exhibitions, as well as participation in workshop and industry events. While emphasizing the needs of independent oil and gas producers, PTTC’s activities also benefit consultants, service and supply companies, and other industry participants. The connections achieved and technology information transferred through PTTC’s programs are reducing costs and increasing recovery in existing mature fields, expanding recovery from unconventional reservoirs, profitably developing ever-smaller domestic production and reserves, and increasing environmental stewardship.
